Congratulations go to Vanessa Heywood, the creator and writer of Tiny Mites at the Seaside - a wonderful, brand new interactive musical. The show started its tour at The Radlett Centre on 10th August with two performances, and manager Greg Dexter was delighted to have premiered the show saying “Tiny Mites rocked the Radlett Centre. Don’t miss it”.
When two performances sold out at The Wyllyotts in Potters Bar the TMM team squeezed another show in to accommodate the children who might have missed out.
The exuberant cast, Tiffany Todd playing Harmony and Dina Mite, and Tracey Lyle playing Melody and Magic Mite, kept the young audience engaged throughout. Whether being themselves, or the Tiny Mites, magically rearranging the set, dancing, balloon modelling, singing and encouraging us all to participate, the two girls were nothing less than excellent.
The show was fast-paced enough to keep even the youngest children interested, with plenty of songs everyone could join in with and sing along to. At 50 minutes long, the musical adventure was exactly the right length, and the magical story was enhanced by amazing lighting, simple but effective staging and bubbles!
Three year old Jola commented “I liked the swimming bit”, whilst four year old Zoe said “I liked the singing, actually I liked everything”! Praise indeed.
